Individual Therapy Rates
$130 for 50 minute sessions and $110 for 40 minutes. My sliding scale slots are currently full. Sliding scale spots are reserved for folks who cannot afford my regular rate.
Individual Therapy Equitable Access Rate (optional charge for those with greater economic means that want to assist in improving access to therapy services for individuals from marginalized and disenfranchised groups): $150 per 50-minute appointment. I have made a commitment to reserve 15-20 percent of my practice for clients in need of a sliding scale.
Cancellation Fee
If you need to cancel your appointment there is a 24 hour minimum, cancellation policy. There is a $65 dollar fee for appointments that are cancelled same day or within the 24 hour window. Clients receive a one-time same-day cancellation exception per year.
Payment
I accept cash, checks, credit cards and health saving account cards.
Why is therapy so expensive?
Therapy is expensive, I own that. It is also an important investment into your mental health, well-being and personal growth.
As a private practice therapist, I am running a small business. In order to do the work I am passionate about, I have to cover my monthly expenses to run my business (office rent, marketing costs, professional insurance, HIPAA-compliant electronic health record, billing service, and HIPAA-compliant faxing and phone service), as well as taxes, continuing education, and professional trainings.
